Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know you. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping to work on, and how we can best support you. There’s no rush—you’re welcome to share at your own pace. We’ll also answer any questions you have about the therapy process.
Do you accept insurance?
Many extended health plans cover psychotherapy with a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). However, coverage varies, so please check with your provider to confirm. We do not bill insurance companies directly—clients pay for sessions and submit receipts for reimbursement. All of our therapists are registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
How long does therapy usually last?
Therapy looks different for everyone. Some clients come for short-term support around a specific concern, while others prefer ongoing sessions for deeper work or continued guidance. We’ll check in together about your goals and progress to make sure therapy continues to meet your needs.
Can you support me if I’m self-diagnosed with ADHD or Autism?
Yes. We recognize and respect self-identification. A formal diagnosis is not required to receive support or to begin understanding your neurodivergent experiences.
How do I know if we’re the right fit?
Finding the right therapist is important. We offer a free 30-minute consultation to help you get a sense of whether our approach and style feel like a good match for you. You're welcome to ask questions—we’re always happy to help you make an informed decision.
Do you provide assessments or diagnoses?
We do not provide formal diagnostic assessments. However, we can support you in exploring your experiences, understanding your patterns, and navigating the diagnostic process if that’s a path you're interested in.
